ITEM 7.01 OTHER EVENTS

On November 4, 2019, Columbia Sportswear Company (the "Company") issued a press release announcing that Timothy P. Boyle, President and Chief Executive Officer, will serve as Acting Chairman of the Company’s Board of Directors (the “Board”) following the passing of Gertrude Boyle until the Board takes action on formal appointment of a new Chairman of the Board. In such press release the Company also provided details regarding Mrs. Boyle’s share ownership in the Company. A copy of the Company's press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference. The information in this report shall not be treated as filed for purposes of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934, as amended.
